Price cut heading for PSPgo

pspgo 300x247 Price cut heading for PSPgo

Even before release day, the PSPgo suffered from bad publicity mainly due the early announcement of allowing the gamer to only being able to download content with Sony doing away with the UMD drive altogether.

Then there was the pricing of the unit... At $250 brand-spanking new, the PSPgo wasn't going to do itself any favours.

Well it now looks like Sony's poorly-received handheld will be receiving a price cut of around $50. News comes via Joystiq, as an online retailer is said to be price-cutting the console in a couple of days.

In trying to tempt new customers to purchase one of these, offers of free games (10 in fact) have been rife but we think this just wasn't enough and just didn't cut it to make the console worthy of our hard-earned cash.

At the moment, nothing has been said as to whether or not the PSPgo in the UK will be receiving such a slashed down price but it does seem inevitable, especially if Sony are really wanting to dish out a few more of these handheld to satisfy and make up for their losses.

Now that it seems the PSPgo will be getting a $50 price cut, is this enough? We don't think so. Let us know what you think. Has this changed your mind about buying one??

LG LU3000

While LG isn't a real competitor for HTC, Samsung or Apple, it seems that its new Android Froyo phone, LU 3000, is a real impressive piece, faster than Galaxy S and iPhone 4. Made for the South Korean market, the device was announced at the KES2010, the equivalent event of the US CES and is considered to be a high-end phone.

LG LU3000 will pack a 3.8-inch IPS WVGA display, capable of 1080 video recording, 1 GHz TI OMAP processor, 5MP camera with LED flash and HDMI out and sporting Android 2.2 Froyo. Why is this LG's phone supposed to be faster than the iPhone 4 or Galaxy S?

According to the video (from the source link), the LU3000 is loading YouTube app and other webpages faster than iPhone 4 and Galaxy S. All three devices are "activated" same time and the one from LG is the fastest. See for yourself.

A smart move would be to see it coming in Europe and USA, cause it proves to be quite a competitor for all other smartphones available on the market.
