Modem Setting INTERNET IN UBUNTU

What news readers? Hopefully you are always in a state of healthy and successful always.

This time I will talk about how Internet Modem settings, to study the case materials we use akan BandLuxe C100 Modem, a modem that uses the network 3 G / HSDPA XL.

Distributions and then we will use the distributions are Ubuntu, make sure you install the wvdial package in Ubuntu you, to find out you can check by using the command:

@ sudo dpkg-l

dpkg_checkwvdial_check

Next you need to turn off ethernet first configuration of the system, is by clicking on the menu-system-administration-network.

After all wrong, we can connect the modem device Bandluxe C100 to the USB port on the computer we have.

Well, our next task is to open the terminal and command mengetikan

@ sudo su

After logging in to root mode, we akan modem settings page, Type the command:

# ln-s / dev/ttyzUSB0 / dev / modem



Proceed with the command

# wvdialconf



In simple we can directly type the command

# vim / etc / wvdial.conf

wvdial_run

Rubahlah value below:

Phone =

Password =

Username =



With

Phone =* 99 *** 1 #

Password = proXL

Username = xlgprs

wvdialconf

Then save and exit Vim application. Then we can do with the dial command mengetikan

# wvdial



If the output shows the WAN IP address and DNS are used to dial, then we have successfully connect to the Internet network. To try to ping or open a browser directly.

Once you've finished surfing, you can stop the process with a dial mengetikan command Ctrl + C on the terminal used to connect.
