Sony Ericsson to bring the Playstation Android phone at MWC 2011

You might be familiar with the term playstation phone. Targeting the gaming lovers, the device you see was announced some while ago to hit the market soon, boasting Android Gingerbread along with a custom Sony Marketplace where you cand purchase and download games deisgned for the new platform.

There were also details about its technical details: 1 GHz Qualcomm MSM8655, 512MB of RAM, AGB of ROM and a screen in the range of 3.7 to 4.1 inches. But note that the below picture is in prototyping mode. And now, new hints offered by SE's CEO Bert Nordberg in an interview for the Wall Street Journal come to confirm the existance of the handset.

He mentioned that Sony Ericsson will see a product revealed next year in February at Mobile World Congress. It could easily refer to the recently spotted Anzu, the follower of the Xperia X10 rather than a playstation slider phone, but the hints make us believe the PlayStation phone could be next.

No matter if the device is coming at MWC in february 2011 or later, we know that it will come at one point, Sony Ericsson diversifying its offerings. Any thoughts?
