More and more active Android phones are running on the latest versions of Android OS; either Eclar or Froyo. 83% percent of all Google phones run now of one of these two platforms, as we can see in the below pie chart and table.

According to the data collected during two weeks ending on December 1 2010, Android 2.2 is now running on 43.4 percent of all active phones, up 10 percent since October. As for the 2.1 version, only 39.6% of all Android phones are using it. And the rest of the pie is divided for older versions: Android 1.6 Donut and 1.5 Cupcake.

Now we are expecting the launch of Android 2.3 Gingebread (it should happen this month) to see how is going to influence the chart. Keep you updated with more news relating Android platform. Stay tuned!
