London’s Lomography Gallery played host to the launch of the Sprocket Rocket this week; a new lomographic camera that offers panoramic shots. This lovely piece of kit comes with the option to include sprockets, should that be your wish. For the uninitiated, here’s a quick introduction to the lomography movement.
A rather nifty feature that’s introduced by the Sprocket Rocket is the rewind knob; this gives you complete control over your film and makes multiple exposures a doddle. The camera is equipped with a wide-angle lens and body, giving you proper panoramic photos that expose the full length of your film.
Enamoured with the rolling vistas of the Yorkshire Dales? Snap them all and take them home. Perhaps in the Halloween season you want to take ghostly photos of your mates? Easily done and no PhotoShop skills required. Tall buildings? Wide groups shots? Friends with really big ears? Not a problem.
For more experienced photographers, the Sprocket Rocket also has a B-setting (Bulb) for manual exposure times. Plug your own flash into the hot shoe and of course, there’s a standard tripod thread to keep things steady on your B-setting.
